Commercial water purification comes into picture when there is a need to treat very large volume of water and at high-flow rates. The type of water treatment utilized in a system will largely depend on the desired purity level of the final water makeup. The different types of commercial water purifiers are : Reverse Osmosis, Ultraviolet, activated carbon filters, infrared filters and alkaline filters.
The need to involve water purifier in commercial places has become important today. The rise in pollution caused by industries, over-population, factories etc., makes the purity of water being used or consumed highly questionable. The places where commercial water purifiers are highly used are Educational institutes, offices, hospitals, restaurants, functional halls etc. The benefits of using commercial water purifiers are :
Reverse Osmosis is the most popularly used water purification system in both commercial and domestic ares. They have the ability to eliminate all the impurities from water by passing the water through the extremely thin membrane. The molecules of the membrane are designed in such a fashion that their sizes are much smaller than that of the bacteria, thus removing all the bacteria and impurities from the water. This provides the pure water on the other end.
Activated carbon filters are typically employed in the process of releasing chlorine from and/or removing organic compounds from the water. This process makes water useful either for discharge or in the manufacturing processes. By removing the organic compounds such as humic acid and fulvic acid from the potable water, helps in prevention of chemical reaction between chlorine and acids present in the water. If the chlorine and acids in the water react chemically with each other, it will lead to the formation of trihalomethanes – a class of carcinogens.
Alkaline water purifiers are also called as ionized water purifiers. They neutralize the harmful acids present in our drinking water by producing certain chemical reactions which eventually divides the water into two types – acidic water and alkaline water. So, if you want to have the best drinking water then using alkaline water purifiers in your home and work place will always be a great option.
